Who we are
BuyBack Direct runs two electronics buyback and resale stores in Philadelphia and Levittown, Pennsylvania. This policy covers our stores, our text and phone lines, and this website.
What we collect
- When you sell a device: your name, signature, ID type and number, the device description and serial number, and the amount paid.
- When you text or call us: your phone number and the messages or photos you send.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write.
- When you visit this website: basic usage information, such as pages viewed and buttons tapped, which may be gathered with cookies or similar tools.
How we use it
- To make offers, complete purchases and sales, and answer your questions.
- To keep the seller records the law and our trade in terms require.
- To help prevent fraud and keep stolen devices off our shelves.
- To understand how people use this website and improve it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our phone and website providers, and with law enforcement or government agencies when the law requires it or when we report suspicious activity.
How long we keep it
Seller records are kept for up to five years, or longer where the law requires. Other information is kept only as long as we need it.
Data on devices you sell us
We run data wiping software on every device we buy. Please still back up and remove your own data before you sell. Our trade in terms explain more.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing us. Some records must be kept by law and cannot be deleted early.
